Epic Hydrotherapy
What is it?
Epic Hydrotherapy classes are supervised exercise sessions in a warm water pool, with stair access, that are designed to help you move more freely, build strength, and improve confidence — without the stress that land-based exercise can place on your joints.
The warmth and buoyancy of the water reduce body weight and joint load, making exercise more comfortable, less painful, and often more enjoyable — especially if you’re dealing with pain, stiffness, injury, or reduced fitness.
Who are these classes for?
Our hydrotherapy classes are suitable for a wide range of people, including those who:
Have joint pain, arthritis, or chronic pain
Are recovering from injury or surgery
Find land exercise difficult or intimidating
Want to improve strength, balance, mobility, or fitness in a supportive environment
Are returning to exercise after a long break
Simply feel better moving in water
No swimming skills are required.
What happens in a class?
Each class is:
Instructor-led by highly trained staff
Structured but adaptable, with exercises that can be scaled up or down
Focused on whole-body strength, mobility, balance, and cardiovascular fitness
Designed to be supportive, inclusive, and welcoming
You’ll be guided through a variety of movements using the resistance of the water and simple equipment. Everyone works at their own level — you’re never expected to “keep up.”
Different levels, one supportive space
Our classes are multi-level, meaning people with different abilities can safely attend the same session. Instructors provide individual modifications so you can work at a level that feels right for your body on that day. Although we have different focuses in each class.
Hydro Restore
A slower-paced class focused on movement, mobility, balance, and confidence in the water. Ideal if you’re managing pain, stiffness, recovering from injury or surgery, or returning to exercise after time off.
Hydro Strength
A moderate-intensity class designed to build full-body strength and endurance using the resistance of the water. Exercises are easily adjusted, so you can work at a level that suits your body.
Hydro Rehab
A clinically informed class led by our physiotherapist, ideal for people with ongoing injuries, persistent pain, or post-surgical rehab needs. Movements focus on control, alignment, and safe strengthening.
Each class rocks out to a different playlist, so we’re motivated to move. Bring your favorite songs along!

We’re located at 557 SH1, Te Hana, Auckland.
Follow signs for Swim Evolution.
The driveway is opposite the Mangawhai turn off and has a stone wall at the entrance. Take the right hand drive at the fork, there is a black arrow to point the way. This will take you to the car park. The entrance to the pool is behind the big rocks, its a glass door and the door handle is a little stiff.

If you do not register for a subsequent term the classes will be refunded into your account (that you must provide to us) at the rate at which you purchased the class. You will not be refunded for classes you do not attend.
